Spinning Type

Spinning objects cause an optical illusion. The car wheel spins forward and looks running backward in a specific speed range. Spinning helicopters fans are seen not moving in digital video footage. I experimented with how the human/machine error works on the Roman letterforms from A to Z in spinning. The optical illusion of spinning objects is everywhere. An objective observer might not be possible. The imperfect interpretations, however, allow us to discover a whole new perspective of such beautiful graphics.

The transition from the vertical stroke to a dot in spinning. At first thought, we should view a 6cm diameter black circle when the 6cm tall letter I spin. In the experiment, I saw a smaller than 6cm diameter circle; furthermore, my camera recorded it even smaller.
