In the 1950s, Baltimore's North Avenue was thriving. The North Avenue Motel had just opened and offered motorists completely sound-proofed rooms in the heart of Baltimore's restaurant and entertainment area. There was free continental breakfast and a TV in every room.
Today, North Avenue and it's motel are plagued with violence, drugs and prostitution.
In an attempt to document an uncomfortable setting, Cameron Zotter and I spent the night at the North Avenue Motel in Baltimore, Maryland. This website is a response to our experience.
