Kyungbok Palace was built by Chosun Dynasty in 1395 and has been repeatedly damaged by wars and reconstructed throughout the Japanese reigns. The current reconstruction has been continued since 1990's. Gunjung Jun was the Chosun Dynasty's supreme court building, located in the center of the palace.
It conceptually interacts with the surrounding architectural elements such as square frame windows, simple straight columns, and arch gates. Also, its exterior color pattern harmonizes with nature of seasons. The single tone setting on this project is meant to clarify the discovered forms and interactions.
